If at first you don’t succeed, well you must just be like the rest of us mere mortals! But what do we mean by succeed and against what are we judging ourselves and that level of success?

Life is for the living and not for the dead! Life is for those daily tests, that tell us we are alive. Then by surviving them we get to enjoy these delicate, indescribably wonderful moments that make life what it is, unique, special, treasured!
Cometh the moment, cometh the man! Cometh the current financial crisis, cometh the need for many families and individuals to face up to that “moment”, these are days of reflection!
I was recently listening to the radio, while on the way to dropping off my young water polo player Liam at school. It was Gareth Cliff on 5FM and he was busy interviewing Lindsay Williams, a good friend of mine and a great character in the financial broadcasting world, ex of Summit TV and now on Warwick Market Report (6:30pm on FMR 101.3 and www.bizcast.co.za). They discussed the recent budget and just what a “non” budget it was, but what was really funny was the chat about just how fat our average MP’s now are!
